The Melbourne City vs Wellington Phoenix game has had a number of missed opportunities for both sides, despite City being the clear favourites leading into the game tonight.
However, after 70 minutes of play, Melbourne City finally score through the boot of Ross McCormack. City have been without Tim Cahill who has spent all day on the bench tired from international duty and Bruno Fornaroli still being out injured.

However, City has managed to score with it being doubtful that Phoenix will be able to come back. This will likely end as a win for Melbourne and it will all be thanks to McCormack’s fantastic goal late in the second half.
Update: Tim Cahill has come on in the 79th minute.
