Daniel Kickhert, the former Melbourne start power forward had a spectacular match against his ex-teammates.
Kickhert scored 10 points in an outstanding first half effort and helped his side remain in a winning position, despite the Brisbane Bullets having a terrible first quarter.
This left a sour taste in the mouths of all Melbourne United supporters, especially as United were wearing their old Melbourne Tigers kit in celebration of their sides famous 2007/2008 championship triumph.

It has been 10 years since but Melbourne hasn’t forgotten it, especially with David Barlow still strutting his stuff from the championship side.
Kickhert lead his team strongly and ended the match with 17 points, the best tally of any Bullets player for the night.
Although, despite Brisbane continuing to push, Melbourne proved to be just too much for the visitors and ended the night on top by 8 points, with the end result being 69 to 61.
Brisbane have had a pretty poor 2017/2018 season so far, with only the Sydney Kings being beneath them.
Yet that didn’t stop the Bullets looking as if they could finish on top, which indicates to me that they could be a strong finishing side for the remainder of the season and could cause some upsets.

Brisbane will now have to face the Illawarra Hawaks at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre next week on Thursday the 8th of February.
If the Kickhert and his team were to play as the did against the side dominating the competition next week, then they could quite easily finish the match on top.
